This course will help medical students learn about etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, histology and various clinical manifestations of acute rheumatic fever in the first part. In the second part of the course, the diagnosis of acute rheumatic fever with a focus on Revised Jones criteria, investigations, treatment and prevention of acute rheumatic fever will be discussed.
