Sterilization and Disinfection

About the Course

Microorganisms are omnipresent and often lead to infection and contamination. Therefore, it is essential to destroy or remove them for safe use of invasive and noninvasive medical devices. However, not all patient care items need sterilization. It is important to understand where disinfection is appropriate & adequate. Cleaning should always precede sterilization and disinfection.
