About the Course

This module introduces the dermatologic manifestations of HIV, emphasizing how skin findings may provide early clues to diagnosis and disease progression.
Students will learn to recognize common HIV-related dermatoses, opportunistic infections, neoplasms, and drug-related skin reactions. It will also help students identify atypical, recurrent, severe, or treatment-resistant skin lesions that should raise suspicion of underlying HIV.
By the end, students should be able to correlate cutaneous patterns with immune status and apply these clues for timely diagnosis and management.
