About the Course

Eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder resulting from a complex interaction between genetic predisposition, immune dysregulation, skin barrier defects, and environmental triggers. This module will help students understand the etiopathogenesis of eczema, including the role of allergens, and immunological mechanisms in disease development. Students will also learn the molecular and cellular basis of skin inflammation and the factors responsible for exacerbation and chronicity of eczema.
