पाठ्यक्रम के बारे में
Recent advances in the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) focus on strengthening early diagnosis, treatment, and patient support to achieve TB elimination by 2025. The programme has expanded molecular diagnostic laboratories and rapid tests such as nucleic acid amplification tests for early and accurate detection. Active case finding through house-to-house screening and targeting high-risk groups has helped identify additional TB cases. Digital initiatives like the Nikshay portal and training platforms support real-time patient tracking and healthcare worker capacity building. Nutritional and financial assistance to TB patients has been increased through the Nikshay Poshan Yojana, now providing ₹1000 per month. Community participation has been enhanced through the Nikshay Mitra initiative under the TB-Mukt Bharat campaign. New shorter treatment regimens for drug-resistant TB and the use of AI-assisted chest X-ray screening have further improved treatment outcomes and early detection.-
