पाठ्यक्रम के बारे में
The pectoral region, or the upper part of the chest wall, is a component of the shoulder girdle and is the first cadaveric area dissected by MBBS students across India. Therefore, an introduction to anatomical terminology, tissue composition, surface markings, and joint movements is provided. Students learn about the superficial fascia, deep fascia, and how to palpate bony prominences such as the clavicle, sternal angle, and coracoid process. They also practice counting the ribs on both cadavers and living subjects. Additionally, students study the details of muscles including the pectoralis major, pectoralis minor, and subclavius, along with their actions on the shoulder joint. An introduction to applied anatomy is also included, covering the clavipectoral fascia and the pectoral group of lymph nodes.-
