About the Course

This module provides a concise overview of chromosomal trisomies, with special focus on Edwards syndrome (Trisomy 18) and Patau syndrome (Trisomy 13). Students will learn the genetic basis and causes of these conditions, including nondisjunction and risk factors such as advanced maternal age. The module highlights key antenatal and postnatal clinical features for early recognition. It also covers diagnostic approaches and prognosis to aid in clinical decision-making and
