About the Course

Goal: To build healthcare professionals capacity to prevent, detect, and manage infections while ensuring the safety, efficacy, and community trust in vaccination practices.

Objectives:

  • To understand the principles of infection prevention, control, and vaccine safety in healthcare and community settings. 
  • To identify common healthcare associated infections(HAIs) and adverse events following immunization (AEFIs).
  • To apply national guidelines and standard precautions for infection control and safe immunization practices.
  • To strengthen surveillance, reporting, and response systems for infection outbreaks and vaccine safety monitoring.
  • To promote evidence based decision making, risk communication, and community awareness on infection and vaccine safety.
