Goal: To empower healthcare professionals to actively engage patients and communities in decision-making, health promotion, and service delivery for improved healthcare outcomes.
Objectives:
- To understand the principles and importance of patient and community-centred healthcare.
- To identify effective strategies for involving patients and communities in health planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- To develop communication and counseling skills that instill trust, transparency, and shared decision-making.
- To apply community engagement models and participatory approaches suited to the sociocultural context.
- To promote accountability, health literacy, and participation for sustainable health system strengthening.
