Goal: To enhance healthcare professionals knowledge and skills to promote safe medication practices and minimize medication errors across the healthcare system.
Objectives:
- To understand the fundamental concepts and principles of medication safety and error prevention.
- To identify common sources and types of medication errors in healthcare institutions.
- To apply national and international guidelines for safe prescribing, dispensing, and administration of drugs.
- To develop strategies for reporting, analyzing, and mitigating adverse drug events.
- To instill a culture of Patient Safety and interprofessional collaboration in medication management.
