This course covers the signs and symptoms of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) deficiency, which can range from early signs, such as fatigue and joint pain, to more severe symptoms of scurvy, including bleeding gums, easy bruising, and poor wound healing. It will also provide details on sources of vitamin C deficiency and recommended daily allowances (RDA). The prevention and treatment of this condition through dietary modifications and supplementation will also be discussed.
