Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation is an acquired condition due to infections, malignancies, obstetric conditions & trauma that leads to activation of coagulation factors leading to microvascular thrombi & consumption of clotting factors & platelets. This causes excessive bleeding & end organ damage.-
