About the Course

In this module, different types of UTI’s in pregnancy have been elaborated and their treatment strategies have been explained along with right choice of antibiotics. Universal screening of all pregnant patients for UTI in early pregnancy, the physiological changes in urogenital system in pregnancy, bacteriology and aetiology leading to UTI is also explained. The adverse perinatal and maternal morbidity & mortality developing after pyelonephritis is discussed as well.
