Purpose: Developing a robust financing system for a complex sector like health is proving to be the most formidable challenge facing the policy makers in India. This unit on health care financing and health insurance is aimed at orienting the participants on the concept of health financing, various methods of health financing, and familiarising them with the existing health insurance schemes in India.
