Purpose: Cultivating effective managerial practices is a challenge for doctors, particularly for those who remain in clinical practice for a fairly long time after completing their technical education in the medical colleges. Doctors, who are expected to shoulder the public health responsibility at peripheral facilities, need to learn the definition, functions, principles and the roles of health management.
