About the Course

Benign enlargement of male breast glandular tissue is termed Gynaecomastia. It is due to an imbalance between estrogen and androgen action, with estrogen stimulating growth and androgens inhibiting growth. Gynaecomastia can be caused by a variety of physiological, pathological, and pharmacological factors. Various etiologies and pathogenesis of Gynaecomastia are discussed with reference to the hormonal dependency.
