पाठ्यक्रम के बारे में

Prostate carcinoma, commonly known as prostate cancer, is one of the most prevalent types of cancer in men, typically occurring in older individuals. It develops when abnormal cells in the prostate gland grow uncontrollably. Early stages may not show noticeable symptoms, but as it progresses, it can cause difficulty with urination, blood in urine, or bone pain. Risk factors include age, family history, and ethnicity, with African American men being at higher risk. Diagnosis is often made through PSA (prostate-specific antigen) testing, biopsies, and imaging. Treatment options range from surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy to active surveillance for low-risk cases. Early detection and intervention are crucial for improving survival rates.
