Goal: To equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and competencies required to ensure surgical safety, prevent errors, and improve patient outcomes in the healthcare system.
Objectives:
- To understand the key principles and standards of surgical safety and patient care.
- To identify common causes of surgical errors and adverse events in operating settings.
- To apply the World Health Organization (WHO) Surgical Safety Checklist and national surgical safety protocols.
- To develop effective team communication and coordination strategies in the operating room.
- To promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous quality improvement in surgical practices.
